This chapter gives a short overview of different Pandoras Box licenses.

The chapter "Product Overview" explains in detail which hardware and software products are offered by Christie Pandoras Box. The license structure has been fundamentally simplified in version 8:

Demo Version

With the free Demo version, which is valid for 90 days, you have access to the same feature-set as the Offline License. Note that the Preview and audio output contain a water mark. The user interface is generally the same in all versions. Download here...

Offline License

The Offline License is used for show pre-programming and video editing. Many operators use the Offline License to test programming setups or to keep practicing. The major difference to the full license is, that it cannot connect via network to any system, hence the name "Offline". Other differences are listed in the product structure table.

Pandoras Box Software License

The Pandoras Box Software license includes the full feature set. It supports real-time 3D rendering, 8K video playback and 10bit color depth whilst offering unlimited Sequences, Video Layers and Effects. All three licenses can start the Master software which includes a Preview window. The full license comes with the option to have a render output, either on the Master or additional Client system. Hence, you can connect several PB systems to one large setup and build a scalable playback system with as many fullscreen outputs as you like. For each license you get another Output Layer that you can link to a physical output.

The Offline and Pandoras Box Software license come with a dongle. If you would like to install or run Pandoras Box, please insert the dongle first. The Pandoras Box Software license can be added multiple times to a dongle to release more outputs.

All licenses run on Pandoras Box hardware systems (Compact Player, Server R5 / R4 / R3) but also on custom hardware. Windows 8.1 / 10 Professional 64bit systems are mandatory. Graphics cards from NVIDIA are recommended.
